Cowal Surveying  Services have been operating Topcon Hiper Pro GPS equipment for three years.  The only question we now ask is, how did we manage without it?

Employing GPS survey techniques gives huge advantages in efficiency, accuracy and quality of our surveys.  The advantages of GPS surveying techniques over more traditional methods are :-

  1. Post processed data is accurately fixed to Ordnance Survey grid and datum.
  2. The surveyor is free from line of site restrictions, which hinder traditional forms of surveying.
  3. Single man operation.  Two man operation would only  be  used  on surveys where base station security was foreseen to be a problem. 
  4. Topcon's Hiper Pro system has no cables, back packs or external batteries to worry about.  A great step forward over first generation GPS survey equipment.
